The
Trash Can Sinatras
are a Scottish band known for their perfect pop melodies, lush
instrumentation, and terrible luck with record labels. Despite
the fact that 1996's brilliant A Happy Pocket never got
a North American release, fans imported the record and the band
kept working.
In
2004
the TCS finally made it back to California, more than ten years
after their debut. Supporting Weightlifting, their fourth
and strongest record yet, the TCS hit Los Angeles in March for
one night only. The show at the venerable Troubador was a huge
success, and the band booked five more sold-out shows in October
and December.
